SPMT (Self-Propelled Modular Trailers)

SPMT stands for Self-Propelled Modular Trailer, a versatile piece of equipment widely used across various industries. SPMTs are ideal for transporting large civil constructions and petrochemical components over land. They are also frequently utilized during load-outs to move heavy-load components from the quay onto a barge.

Each SPMT is made up of multiple modules, typically with 4 or 6 axle lines, each capable of carrying between 36 to 48 tons per axle line. These trailers offer advanced maneuverability, including the ability to perform circle drives around the center of the trailer or execute “crab moves” for precise positioning. They also provide a lifting height of approximately 500 mm, enabling the transport of nearly any heavy-load component through various combinations of modules.
