SMCLR operates a specialized fleet of twin barges designed for various project needs, including bridge installations, lifting operations from the water, and transportation across inland waterways and seas.
The twin barge concept features a custom-built fleet with three different sizes of barge pairs, tailored to navigate the extensive European network of rivers and canals. After passing through locks or other access-limiting structures, the barges are connected to form a single large barge. This design minimizes the need for extensive steel structures typically required to link separate barges. Our fleet also includes a large barge measuring 100m by 33m.
In addition to the barges, SMCLR provides a complete service package, including mooring winches, auxiliary equipment, anchors, various ballast systems, link pan bridges of different lengths, and a comprehensive inventory of additional structures and equipment. Our in-house engineering department handles all necessary ancillary engineering support for barge operations.
